| Please note Cubs must liaise with the Troop via their Cub Scout Leader before coming to Scouts.
Newcomers wishing to join Scouting, or transfer from another Scout Group please use Contact us above. 2nd Nene Scout Group has two Troops CHALLENGER and APOLLO. For more information on APOLLO CLICK HERE. To do our bit towards reducing the national 40,000 Joining List, Challenger Scout Troop re-opened after a number of years ‘grounded’ The Troop has a small but growing membership, with enrolments from other Scout Troops, Cubs moving up to Scouts and new members with no prior Scouting involvement. Our Leaders are experienced – having been involved in Scouting for a number of years. We meet on Thursday evenings from 7:15pm. See the HOME page for a location map. Like Apollo Troop, we are Air Scouts. Our programme is similar to ‘normal’ scouts except we have more emphasis on Air Activities. We have our own Troop identity and our own Programme. Our patrols are named after wild animals – Lion, Tiger, etc. Challenger Troop run separate events and camps – to which Apollo Troop members are sometimes invited – just as we are sometimes invited to theirs. All members of Challenger troop are actively encouraged to BRING A FRIEND |
