Historical list of groups
The history of groups in the City is complex and due to the number of re-organisations, re-locations and other changes it is easier to show a list of all groups that have been active in the city.
The information is based on a resource produced in 2007 by Ron Ward (Assistant County Commissioner – District Support) called “Scouting 1907-2007″.
Due to the limitation of the software and the complexity of some of the changes, I have listed groups using their registration number e.g. Soke of Peterborough 1, 2, 3 etc, with the more recent additions which have just been Nene Groups included at the end of the list.
For each group, the first registered and where appropriate last active date have been included. Virtually all the groups have been inactive for even a short period of time, and I haven’t tried to record this but more than happy to supply the information by email.
